Since our first day of operations on March 1, 1990, New South Construction Company has been blessed to have formed many wonderful relationships, over 70% of our work continues to be from repeat clients. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of the clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors and suppliers who have made these past 20 years a great success.

Naval Air Station Atlanta formally became the General Lucius D. Clay National Guard Center on Saturday, September 26^th, during a ceremony transferring ownership from the Navy to the Georgia National Guard.

After the transfer ceremony, a groundbreaking ceremony took place on the future site of the new 220,000-square-feet Joint Force Headquarters for the Guard. Once completed, the building will house the Army National Guard, Air National Guard and Georgia State Department of Defense functions.

The American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) recently awarded Douglas C. Davidson, President of New South Construction Company, the prestigious Golden Hammer Award.

New South Construction, teamed with other area general contractors to present to the students “The World of General Contracting.” Through activities and hands on interaction, students learned about project scheduling, safety, cost control, quality management, and BIM.

New South Construction employees, vendors and subcontractors raise over $55,000 to support the American Heart Association.

New South Construction recently completed an “udderly” unique construction project for the Atlanta Braves. Having completed many exceptional projects at Turner Field, the installation of a 40-foot tall Chick-fil-A tomahawk-chopping cow was the most unusual for the entire project team.

On June 10, 2008 Georgia Branch, AGC installed Douglas C. (Doug) Davidson as the 2008-09 Chapter President.
