New South Construction Company was recently awarded the $15.8M Cherokee County Aquatics Center project consisting of a 43,000 sf natatorium and outdoor aquatic park.

The facility, designed by Cooper Carry, includes a 50-meter, 10 lane competition pool, a 25 yard, 4 lane warm-up pool, indoor locker rooms and shower facilities, wet classrooms for training and parties, administrative and coaches' offices, and concessions. There is also a 10,000 sf outdoor leisure pool, including a lazy river, two body slides, and zero entry pool. All facilities are handicap accessible and the site includes parking for 300 vehicles.

This was an incredible win for New South that took 7 months from the time of our initial response to the qualifications to contract award.
