RIVERDALE NEW TOWN CENTER Project Overview
The community center is an integral component of the City’s Town Center project entitled the “Promenade”. Once completed the 25,000 sf “Promenade” will feature a new Government Civic Center (City Hall, Community Center, Public Plaza/Amphitheater), and privately developed commercial mix-use retail space and over seventy units townhomes and condos.
The design of the building is environmentally friendly and energy efficient with the goal to seek LEED Certification. This is a daylight building, containing multi-sport full court gymnasium with 2nd floor running track and includes a production stage. There is also a junior basketball gymnasium, art classroom, computer lab classrooms, aerobic and dance room, workout facility /weight room, community meeting area and an expansive outdoor terrace.
