Active Projects  -  PIEDMONT DRIVING CLUB

This project scope consists of additions and minor renovations to the existing clubhouse with significant historic importance. Once demolishing of the non-historical additions to the original clubhouse are complete, new additions are constructed on the north and south ends of the campus. The north portion includes new casual dining and lounge areas with full kitchen, tennis pro shop, men’s and women’s fitness and locker areas and underground squash courts. The south campus construction will incorporate a new three level underground parking deck, competition/recreational pool, pool grill, pool house with boy’s and girl’s locker areas and gate house at the main entrance. In addition to the new construction, renovations of the existing women’s fitness area will become a multi-purpose room, existing pool grill room will be cleared out for future use, and existing butcher shop will be arranged to allow for new service connection to main kitchen. Minor construction will also occur at the Tack Room for existing window replacement with new doors.

 

The banquet and dining functions of the Club remain occupied and uninterrupted during the construction process. Minor shutdowns are scheduled well in advance with Club manager and facility personnel.

 

Existing tennis courts remain in the same locations, with the exception of raising the two eastern most courts, and shifting the southwestern court to the east to make room for the platform tennis court. New and extended retaining walls are required for each of these areas, with our scope of work to include utilities to the courts and rough grading.
