THE SUNTRUST CLUB AT TURNER FIELD Project Overview
Beginning in October of 2007, more than 4,000 cubic yards of fill was excavated from beneath the field level seats behind home plate to create a new 7,000 s.f. high-end hospitality venue for Atlanta Braves fans. The new lounge, incorporating a rich blend of wood, marble, and leather, features a new entry stair, dining area, bar, full-service kitchen, restrooms and handicapped accessibility elements serving both the Club and field level. Custom graphics relate the storied history of the Braves franchise. Patrons emerge from the Club to the 150 new, fully upholstered field level seats which protrude closer to the field than even the dugouts and the owner’s box. Built-in television monitors and thin profile protective netting complete the design, enhancing the overall baseball experience. The project was completed in time for opening day in March 2008.
