EMORY UNIVERSITY - COMPLEX HOUSING RENOVATION Project Overview
The Complex Housing Renovation project consists of three (3) 1950s 4-story buildings that total 70,000 sf and contain 162 dorm rooms for 324 beds. The renovation consisted of both interior and exterior improvements. The interior cosmetic upgrades renovation consisted of painting and new carpet throughout, new security and ADA improvements, 5 new lounge and community areas, 11 corridors, 5 stairways and complete demolition and rebuild of 11 community bathrooms and 2 social lounges. The bathrooms included installation of new finishes such as: porcelain and glass tile, solid surface counter tops with under-mount sinks, new showers, new toilet partitions and toilet accessories. The exterior work consisted of a new architectural canopy entrance feature, storm sewer and grading improvements, new granite veneer retaining walls, extensive bluestone with integral brick paving, concrete sidewalks and new landscaping around the entire building.
