Education K-12 - THE SCHENCK SCHOOL
THE SCHENCK SCHOOL Project Overview
The Schenck School, consisted of two building additions and extensive renovation to the existing facility. The new interior space has classrooms, laboratories and gathering spaces as well as administrative areas, and all maintenance and support facilities. The new addition construction is structural steel frame with concrete slabs on metal decking with pre-engineered wood trusses and a shingle roofing system. The exterior consists of stone veneer and hardi-plank siding with custom aluminum clad wood windows.
Once the new addition was completed, the entire existing facility was demolished down to the bare structure and completely rebuilt over the summer months, in order to be ready for classes the upcoming school year. There was a tremendous amount of planning and extensive scheduling of construction activities in order to keep this project on track.
