SAVANNAH COUNTRY DAY LOWER SCHOOL Project Overview
The Savannah Country Day Lower School is the first school in Savannah to be LEED certified. Using lower-fume paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants and carpets, as well as recycled materials, the construction process itself is environmentally friendly. The new Lower School will also encourage environmental awareness after completion, with plumbing that reduces water use by 20 percent, and bike racks will be incorporated to promote alternate forms of transportation.
The 52,500 S.F. building will house grades 1 through 5, a media center, science facilities and administrative offices for the Lower School.
