Criminal Justice and Public Buildings - COBB COUNTY WORK RELEASE FACILITY
COBB COUNTY WORK RELEASE FACILITY Project Overview
This project consisted of a 384-bed minimum security facility that will be used to house only local inmates and would be used as an alternative to incarceration for inmates who could suitably work on a minimum security work detail or in a work release setting. The construction consisted of a 46,000 squared foot pre-engineered building with the exterior being an architecture block. The building is designed with eight dormitories: four on each side with an elevated cat walk for the Sheriff department to walk and view all eight dormitories. The building holds full detention equipment and is fully equipped with a security system for all door and movement of the inmates. The front part of the building houses the support office staff for the building and a training room.
