Douglas C. Davidson

President/CEO

Doug Davidson is the President and CEO and is also the founder of New South Construction. Since starting New South Construction he has been responsible for the overall company business development and strategic growth planning. As a result of his dedication to his employees and to his clients, he has led the growth of New South Construction from its inception in 1990 to a $160 million construction company today.

Doug has been in the construction industry since he graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors of Science in Building Construction. He is actively involved in the future development of the construction industry through leadership in the Associated General Contractors of America. After holding the positions of secretary and vice president, he is now the 2008-09 President of the Georgia Branch AGC. He also serves on the Advisory Board and is past President of the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA). Doug currently sits on the board for Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance, Georgia's Board of Regents, Metro Bank and is a past board member of Sheltering Arms. Doug is actively involved in associations such as the Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance, Sheltering Arms, Atlanta Rotary Club, SAME (Society of American Military Engineers), Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Forward Atlanta and Auburn Building Science Alumni Association.  In 1998, Doug received recognition from Georgia Trends "Forty Under 40" of rising stars and outstanding business leaders under the age of 40.
